Scientific Communication Competencies for the Research Team

For over 15 years, Harvard Catalyst has provided training and support to thousands of researchers from more than 250 institutions, including Harvard University's schools and affiliate academic healthcare centers. Communication is a critical boundary-crossing skill that spans our offerings. We know that clear and engaged communication propels research further and faster, moving us that much closer to improved human health. Utilizing our experience as well as input from faculty experts and professional educators/instructional designers, we have outlined this competency framework for scientific communication. This framework describes the skills and knowledge that clinical and translational research teams need to communicate successfully.
